After John Kerry Objects To Anti-Slavery Bill – The Democrat House Defies Him And Passes Bill Condemning China

We learned not that long ago that Biden’s “climate czar,” John Kerry had some troubling connections to communist China. The man, a liberal who should be condemning oppression of any kind, said we should ignore China’s evil so we could get them to become more “green.”

It was a shocking stance, coming from a former Secretary of State and one-time presidential candidate. But apparently, House Democrats didn’t share his sentiment. Because, despite the danger to a “green” China, they voted to condemn the nation’s treatment of minorities.

From The Washington Free Beacon:

The House passed a bill to ban Chinese imports made with Uyghur slave labor on Tuesday, putting the legislation on track to head to President Joe Biden’s desk for approval this week.

The bill will proceed to the Senate for a vote, and then to the White House where Biden is prepared to sign it into law, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said on Tuesday.

Here’s what Kerry had to say about that:

Climate envoy John Kerry and Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman had reportedly worked to stall the bill due to concerns that it would undermine the administration’s climate negotiations with China.

Well, they say a broken clock is right at least twice a day. And it seems even Democrats can get something right, once and a while. Despite urgings from insiders like Kerry, the House passed a bill that would ban the sale of imports made by China’s exploitation of Uyghur minorities. But let’s not slap these liberals on the back too quickly.

We’ve known about China’s treatment of this religious and ethnic minority for years. Yet the Democratic-run media and politicians refused to do anything about it. They were backed by liberals in other areas of the entertainment world, including Disney and the NBA. Only after years of backlash from the American people, did Democrats bother to come up with this bill.

It’s a good start. But so much more must be done about China’s treatment of the Uyghur. Refusing to buy those products is literally the least we could do. Why isn’t Biden hammering China over this disgraceful and evil practice? Aren’t Democrats the ones trying to tear down our history over slavery?

Yet they seem to be going very soft on China over modern acts of slavery. If they really cared, they’d ban all products made in China, just to send a message. They’d petition the UN and other nations to boycott China. This is slavery we’re talking about after all. Why aren’t Democrats doing more to hold China accountable?
