It doesn’t take an economist to know the U.S. economy is struggling. Joe Biden’s policies created massive inflation, a worker shortage, a supply chain crisis, and a fuel cost crisis. Average Americans are having trouble paying for basic necessities. Meanwhile, a border crisis is ensuring that countless migrants can take away what jobs are actually available.
But if you were to ask Joe, we’re doing great! He recently quoted an unnamed economist who said this was the best first-year growth of a president in 50 years. Uh… what? Once again, the facts aren’t agreeing with Biden. Because, at a time when we should have seen holiday job growth, the economy staggered.
The U.S. economy added far fewer jobs than expected in December just as the nation was grappling with a massive surge in Covid cases, the Labor Department said Friday.
Nonfarm payrolls grew by 199,000, while the unemployment rate fell to 3.9%, according to Bureau of Labor Statistics data. That compared with the Dow Jones estimate of 422,000 for the payrolls number and 4.1% for the unemployment rate.
Wow, the Dow Jones was way off. But what can you expect from the liberal media, these days? After claiming we’d add over 400,000 jobs over Christmas, the U.S. only hired about 199,000 people. That is a shockingly low number, considering the time of year.
The holiday season usually means big numbers in employment. Shops hire more staff to meet the uptick in traffic. People are traveling more, going out to eat more, and spending more on food and gifts. Normally. But in Biden’s America, people can’t travel, afford gifts, or even get a turkey. The result? Companies have no reason to hire people.

And that’s not taking into account Biden’s welfare policies that continue to pay people not to find work. Nor his infamous mandates that, although being challenged in court, drove people away from good jobs. Biden’s crooked Labor Department is blaming Omicron. We all know that’s not true.
People need to work. And people want to be able to put food on the table. The issues preventing people from getting and keeping good jobs have little to do with the pandemic. They have everything to do with a “president” that is putting Americans last.
Remember 2020? As we came out of government-mandated lockdowns, the economy soared. We had a “V-shaped” recovery, with no talk of inflation, supply shortages, or missing workers. Why was that? Because we had a president that actually knew what he was doing.
