You may have missed the news over the weekend. It looks like Old Nance’s radical support for Roe v. Wade has caught up with her.
The “devout” Catholic long prided her ability to spread very anti-Catholic politics, yet still be a member of the church. But her local archbishop just dropped a hammer on her self-righteous head.

From Fox News:
San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone announced Friday that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is barred from receiving Holy Communion due to her pro-abortion stance — marking an escalation in a decades-long tension between the Roman Catholic Church and liberal Democratic politicians on abortion.
This is huge. Even if you are not a Catholic, you have to understand how damning this rebuke is to the Speaker of the House.
You might have expected other Catholic leaders to rally behind Pelosi, over this surprising decision. Nope.
From Daily Wire:
Several bishops nationwide have expressed their support of the announcement over the weekend, according to The Catholic World Report.
“Bishop Robert Vasa said on May 20 that he spoke to the pastor of St. Helena Catholic Church in St.Helena, a parish that Pelosi reportedly attends on occasion,” the report stated…
The Diocese of Madison in Wisconsin also expressed its support, according to the outlet, citing Bishop Donald Hying.

Wow. Not only are other Catholic leaders supporting the archbishop’s decision, but they are making sure churches Pelosi occasionally attends aren’t undermining it.
It was possible that Pelosi would just go to another Catholic church and receive Communion from other priests.
But it seems that the church is quickly unifying under Cordileone’s decision. This will have ramifications across the church and country.
Numerous Democrats claim to be loyal Catholics, including Joe Biden. But if more church leaders reject Communion, one of the most important activities of the Catholic faith, other Democrats might lose out.
Wouldn’t it be something if the Catholic church bars old Joe from receiving it, because of his support for Roe v. Wade?
He did promise to make Roe law if the courts overturned it. That should trigger a response from Washington and Delaware priests, right?
This is all happening, it seems, because the church is getting increasingly frustrated with the party’s progressive agenda. Once upon a time, you could be Catholic and Democrat.
But that doesn’t seem to be the case anymore, for many Americans. They are being forced to choose between their faith and their politics.
How many devout Catholics will stand behind Pelosi, over God?
Something tells me, not that many.
