We were told that the Senate’s “bipartisan” infrastructure deal was a win for America.
The “no-strings-attached” package was just infrastructure to rebuild America’s roads and bridges, right?
We clearly learned that this bill was a “Trojan horse” for Biden’s toxic $3.5 trillion spending plan.
Nancy Pelosi has made it clear that she won’t allow the bipartisan bill to be voted on unless the other package is tied to it.
But an unlikely group is opposing her. This “squad” of moderate Democrats warned Pelosi. And it seems they won’t back down.
The House returns to Washington today for a rare mid-August-recess vote on Democrats’ $3.5 trillion budget — at least in theory.
One little problem: Speaker NANCY PELOSI still doesn’t have the votes to pass it.
The nine moderate House Democrats led by Rep. JOSH GOTTHEIMER (N.J.) say they’re not backing down from their demand that the House vote on the Senate-passed bipartisan infrastructure deal before they’ll support the fiscal blueprint laying out plans for the massive reconciliation bill.
Who would have thought that it would be moderate Democrats that ultimately tanked Biden’s socialist dreams?
Nine Democrats, dubbed the “mod squad,” refuse to vote on Pelosi’s agenda. That robs her of enough votes to get her agenda done, which includes the massive $3.5 trillion spending package.
Pelosi has made it clear she won’t support the bipartisan bill without votes on this toxic package.
But word is, moderates in the Senate like Sinema and Manchin won’t sign off on Joe’s massive expansion of the welfare state.
And these nine Democrats in the House won’t budge either.
There is a good reason moderates are fighting back. The Democratic Party has lurched to the left in recent years.
Former moderates like Pelosi are bowing to the radical left. She fears the retribution of socialists like AOC, more than longstanding leaders in the party.

But moderates know the score. Many of these Democrats come from states that are either battlegrounds or outright conservative.
They don’t have a ghost of a chance in 2022 if they go along with Biden’s insane agenda.
Sadly, Pelosi is unwilling to support them—as rumors grow she is bailing soon herself.
