Americans watched over the weekend as the Taliban took back Afghanistan.
Despite the warnings of many leaders and experts, Joe Biden hastily withdrew the American military.
The situation collapsed rapidly. Americans overseas were left stranded as Afghan citizens fear for their lives.
The airport was overwhelmed as people were literally jumping onto the outside of planes.
How could an American president make such a colossal mistake? It can happen when it’s this president.
Now, his predecessor, who had historic success in the Middle East, is saying what many are thinking right now.
“What Joe Biden has done with Afghanistan is legendary,” Trump said in a statement shared on Twitter. “It will go down as one of the greatest defeats in American history.”
Shortly thereafter, Trump called upon “Joe Biden to resign in disgrace for what he has allowed to happen to Afghanistan.”
Donald Trump blasted Joe Biden’s “legendary” failure in Afghanistan. He then called on Biden to resign from his post “in disgrace.”
Although Trump is known for his strong words, it’s hard to disagree. The United States spent 20 years and billions of dollars freeing Afghanistan from the Taliban.
American soldiers gave their lives to free the country from terror. Things had changed dramatically, with women and children receiving rights they never thought possible.
All that has gone down the drain, thanks to Biden’s unthoughtful and poor-executed decision.
We’ve spent plenty of time covering Biden’s many failures. In only a few months, we’ve been overwhelmed by the terrible, seemingly random decisions he’s making.
Yet this might be his biggest failure yet. Three former presidents were able to maintain the peace in Afghanistan.
Under Trump, we were negotiating a peaceful arrangement.
It only took Biden a few weeks to turn a country into a warzone.
This might be the biggest presidential failure since Vietnam. Not even Jimmy Carter—who is often compared to Joe Biden—made such a mistake.

Biden is beyond needing to resign. This should be enough for both Republicans and Democrats to fiercely demand accountability.
But we know the Democrats will do their best to ignore this disaster. It falls to Americans to make the decision for them, come 2022.
