Kevin McCarthy Rallies GOP With Major Victory – Last Year The California Republican Raised Over $75M

The disaster that was 2021 has left Democrats in a difficult position. Many of their House members are retiring, putting their majority at risk.

Meanwhile, Joe Biden’s flagging approval continues to motivate voters to ditch the left and rally around the GOP. And the Republican Party is not wasting this opportunity.

Many believe that Rep. Kevin McCarthy, current House Minority Leader, is in line to become the next speaker. He is working tirelessly so that Republican candidates have the resources they need to flip the House from blue to red. And he just made a major announcement about his fundraising efforts.

From The Washington Examiner:

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy raised $11.75 million in the fourth quarter of last year, bringing the potential next speaker’s total haul for 2021 to $72.4 million…

“As we begin an election year, the contrast couldn’t be starker. While Democrats are retiring and running for the exits at a historic pace, Republican candidates and voters are rallying behind our mission to take back the House,” McCarthy said Wednesday in a statement.

Rep. Kevin McCarthy announced he raised $72.4 million over 2021—a tremendous amount of money for a non-election year. He revealed that he was donating $25.3 million of that money to the National Republican Congressional Committee, the arm of the GOP dedicated to getting their candidates elected.

McCarthy slammed Democrats for their drooping performance. After wasting a year in power, numerous Democrats are “running for the exits.” Meanwhile, Republicans are raising cash and equipping up-and-coming candidates to retake Congress.

The GOP’s chances at raising money over the last year were in question. That was thanks to the left’s ongoing smear narrative and corporations pulling support for the party.

I guess when you don’t have a majority in D.C., big companies aren’t interested in backing you. So, what can explain Republicans’ record-breaking fundraising last year?

Isn’t it obvious? Despite the Bidenflation and numerous economic challenges, Americans opened their wallets to support the GOP. They were motivated to raise support for America-first conservatives, as Biden and his party crashed and burned.
