You can always count on Mitt Romney to do the right thing—if he thinks it’s politically helpful for him. He voted against his own party time and again, to win the approval of the liberal elite.
He even voted for Trump’s impeachment twice. And he voted for Biden’s “infrastructure” bill, which will only provide a fraction of money for infrastructure.
Yet now, it seems he is watching the political winds of D.C. changing. Democrats, fearing defeating November, are trying to distance themselves from Joe Biden.
And Romney, who some have accused of being a “secret Democrat,” is apparently doing the same as well. Because, following the words of other critics, he is finally attacking the failed Democrat.
From Biz Pac Review:
Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) sat down with host Chuck Todd on “Meet the Press” Sunday to discuss Biden’s first year at the helm, referencing his “52 weeks of bad weeks” […]
“President Biden said he was going to try to unite the country,” Romney remarked. “His comments in Georgia did not suggest he’s trying to pull us back together again.”
“He’s got to recognize that when he was elected, people were not looking for him to transform America.”
Funny how now, after it is no longer politically advantageous for him to support Biden, Mitt Romney is coming out against old Joe. The “Republican” criticized Biden saying, he’s had 52 “bad weeks.” He then said people aren’t interested in Joe “transforming America.” Romney went on to complain about how Joe’s failed to unite the country.

Why wasn’t Romney speaking out against Biden all last year? When Biden failed, again and again, we heard nothing from Mitt. Romney did nothing when Biden let Afghanistan fall to the Taliban. He didn’t complain when Biden violated our constitutional rights with mandates. He didn’t call for investigations when Biden shut down our energy production and triggered runaway inflation.
Romney is only doing this because Biden has truly failed. He must have run out of whatever clout he possessed, for someone like Romney to criticize him. Romney is a RINO who will bend over backward for any member of the establishment. His comment against Biden is a sign that the rest of the D.C. swamp will soon be saying the same thing.
Democrats have to do that, in order to survive the midterms. But Romney should have been saying this all along. There is a reason the folks back home turned on him. He shouldn’t expect a warm welcome, come his reelection.
