Pelosi’s Closet Swings Wide Open – After Promising To “Go Green” New Report Shows Nancy Spent $500K In 2 Years On Private Jets

It’s one of the primary talking points for leftist politicians on Capitol Hill: climate change. “Go green” has become both an environmental agenda and a political slogan in recent years.

However, while most liberal politicos support this agenda, their actions don’t always reflect their “greenie” sympathies. In fact, it seems they’re often the biggest environmental offenders.

And a new report might put House Speaker Nancy Pelosi in the doghouse with environmental activists.

Many people worry about climate change and humanity’s impact on the earth, and they jump aboard the electric car bandwagon. Or they go out of their way to make less of a “footprint” in their lives.

They often don’t realize that when compared to boats and planes, cars and most personal vehicles have generally little impact.

And of course, the rich and powerful tend to have control over the larger vehicles: private jets, for example. These are notoriously some of the worst climate polluters on the planet.

Obviously, Pelosi doesn’t have any trouble using one, despite her constant claims to support the Go Green agenda.

From Fox News:

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has spent over $500,000 on private jets since 2020 despite repeatedly describing climate change as an ‘existential’ threat the U.S. has a ‘moral’ obligation to address.

The $500K numbers comes from campaign filings with the Federal Election Commission (FEC).

It turns out that Pelosi’s campaign paid Advanced Aviation Team in Virginia $437,000 between October 2020 and December 2021, and over $65,000 to Clay Lacy Aviation in California.

Given the many studies that have shown just how bad airplanes are for the environment, this is the sort of report that could upset members of Pelosi’s constituency.

On top of which, the Speaker has mentioned several time that she takes the issue very seriously. She led a 21-member congressional delegation to the UN Climate Change Conference last year, for example.

That’s where she said:

For me, it’s a religious thing. I believe this is God’s creation, and we have a moral obligation to be good stewards.

She even said climate change was a higher priority than China’s alleged human rights abuses, which earned her plenty of criticism. This is because China is the leading polluter in the world, according to reports.

We’ve seen this “do as I say, not as I do” mantra from other politicians before.

For instance, Biden’s climate hawk John Kerry is well known for using private jets in his travels. At the time, he defended his movements by saying it was “the only choice to win this battle.”

As climate change is atop her priority list, it might be difficult for Speaker Pelosi to defend her many private jet flights, however.

Conservatives will cite this as another example of the left’s hypocrisy regarding the “green” agenda. As for Pelosi, after hinting she might step down, she recently announced she’s re-running in 2022.
