Report: Democrats Plan Major Betrayal Of Biden – Politicos Are Saying The President is a “Liability” For Midterms

If Democrats want to retain full control in Washington in 2022, it looks like things will have to change. The polls are pointing toward a significant “red wave” during the midterm elections.

The problem is, the Party that holds sway doesn’t seem to be coming together. Normally, the Democrat President would help left-wing candidates during this pivotal election period.

However, this time, many Democrat candidates don’t want Biden’s help at all.

Various political insiders and commentators have started to whisper: POTUS likely won’t prove beneficial to Democrat candidates during the midterms. In fact, he might be a major hurdle.

Most Americans are aware of the President’s declining poll numbers, which have started to reach historic lows.

But it isn’t only Republicans that are reacting to this downturn — Democrats are also acknowledging this declining popularity, and some are starting to think that Biden is more of a hindrance than a help.

That’s exactly what some politicos and journalists are saying right now, according to various reports.

For example, Republican strategist Alex Conant told the Washington Examiner:

The last president to actually help his party’s candidates in the midterms was George W. Bush in 2002.

Presidents have difficultly translating their political capital to midterm candidates, but the candidates can nevertheless be weighed down by unpopular national policies.

Political commentator Darrell West added that Biden will be “a liability” for Democrat hopefuls during the midterm elections.

The numbers just aren’t helping Biden’s cause, and are scaring away leftist politicians. Many of them don’t want to be linked to a President with such concerning approval and job performance ratings.

According to a recent Gallup poll, only about 1/3 of independent voters support Biden compared to the first 6 months of his administration. At that time, the majority endorsed him.

The President also plummeted 10 points among Democrat voters, which is a bad sign for the party.

West said that Biden “needs to get COVID and inflation under control” if Democrats want any hope of winning out in November. But right now, both seem like tall orders, and citizens are beyond frustrated.

On top of it all, reports are coming in that Biden’s team just isn’t doing anywhere near enough to support fellow Democrats in office.

As one Democrat official told CNN:

It’s hard for me to believe that the president knows how little his political shop is doing to support Democratic majorities in the Senate and the House.

All of us believe that the president would be shocked to learn how little the White House political team is doing.

Currently, there seems to be a growing rift between the President and his own party, which spells more trouble for 2022.

If Democrats can’t unify across the board and present a strong front to its supporters, they might lose handily in the midterms. Republicans only need a net gain of 5 seats to regain control of the House.

They also only need a net gain of 1 seat to flip the Senate in their favor, and many are already predicting a Republican President for 2024.
