Joe Biden and Democrats are running amuck in D.C. It falls to the few America-first leaders to stand against them.
We know there are plenty of RINOs in Congress. So-called Republicans would rather support the left than stand against it.
Ted Cruz is not one of them. He frequently criticized Democrats and finds ways to halt their agenda.
And just as the Senate was about to fast-track a bunch of Biden’s nominees, Cruz shut them down.
From The Hill:
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) blocked the quick confirmation of dozens of State Department nominees on Wednesday morning, guaranteeing that they will stay in limbo until next month when the Senate returns from its summer break…
Cruz has been slow-walking the nominations until the Biden administration imposes congressionally mandated sanctions on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which will allow Russia to deliver natural gas to Germany.
Why It’s Important:
Ted Cruz blocked the quick confirmation of a number of Biden’s state department picks.
Cruz has long called out Biden for his support of Russia’s gas pipeline out of Germany.
Biden shut down the U.S.’s Keystone Pipeline but bent over backward to help Russia.
The Republican senator is frustrating Biden’s administration until he imposes the sanctions mandated by Congress.
This isn’t a bad thing, given what we’ve seen from the rest of Biden’s administration.
If there’s one thing Biden is good at, it’s picking the worst people for cabinet jobs.

Biden’s staff have been a who’s who of failure. From his press secretary to his secretary of state, Biden’s team excels at mediocrity and laziness.
Some of them aren’t even qualified for the jobs given to them. Others have a history of opposing the very agencies Biden put them on.
More Republicans should be standing up to Biden’s picks. They should be halting the process until Biden chooses people that can actually do the job.
