Trump Proved Right By IRS Over Democrats – Report Shows Donald’s Tax Cuts Boosted The Middle Class Most Not The Rich

Way back in 2017, President Trump and Republicans were working overtime to pass a major tax cuts bill. Not a single Democrat was willing to back it. In fact, Nancy Pelosi—claiming it would hurt working- and middle-class Americans—called the bill “Armageddon.”

But thankfully, Trump got this historic bill passed. Very quickly, we learned that companies increased salaries and charitable giving. Democrats, ignoring the good news, claimed for years that the bill only helped the very rich. Now, the IRS is exposing the left’s claims with hard facts.

From The Hill:

Income data published by the IRS clearly show that on average all income brackets benefited substantially from the Republicans’ tax reform law, with the biggest beneficiaries being working and middle-income filers, not the top 1 percent, as so many Democrats have argued.

A careful analysis of the IRS tax data, one that includes the effects of tax credits and other reforms to the tax code, shows that filers with an adjusted gross income (AGI) of $15,000 to $50,000 enjoyed an average tax cut of 16 percent to 26 percent in 2018, the first year Republicans’ Tax Cuts and Jobs Act went into effect and the most recent year for which data is available.

Wow, are Democrats right about anything? They refused to back Trump’s tax cuts bill back in 2017, claiming that it was only going to help the rich. Now, we know they opposed it because it was Trump’s bill Why? Because the IRS revealed the bill actually reduced working- and middle-class America’s tax burden the most.

In fact, the group that benefited the least was the “richest 1 percent.”

Ironically, Democrats are trying to do the very thing they accuse Republicans of doing back then. Their “build back better” agenda includes major tax hikes on most Americans. They claim they are raising taxes only on the rich. But careful analysis of their bill reveals that rich Democrats in blue states get all kinds of breaks.

The left’s bill not only raises the rich’s SALT deductions, but the bill provides other deductions that only the rich can use (like deductions for putting solar panels on your home, sending your kid to private school, or buying an electric car). Middle-class and working-class families do not get any deductions. In fact, their taxes will go up by a lot, if they pass their bill.

What kind of word can you use to describe this situation? Hypocrisy comes to mind. Democrats opposed a plan that increased Americans’ income. Yet they back a plan that will reward those “evil” rich folks while punishing hard-working families.
