Though the 2024 presidential election is still a ways off, Republicans are hoping for a massive shift in power by then. First on the agenda: the GOP predicts a “red wave” for the midterm elections.
And if that happens, they can then look toward retaking the White House. And if their chosen candidate is former President Donald Trump, recent polling suggests his chances are good.
In fact, a new survey shows he’d beat three of the top Democrats in politics today.
Current POTUS Joe Biden has already confirmed he will run for another four years, even though his approval rating has reached historic lows (according to some surveys).
But America isn’t only frustrated with their Commander-in-Chief; the numbers show they’re fed up with Democrat rule in general. Perhaps that’s why Trump has such a sizable advantage right now.
In a hypothetical match-up, Trump leads the Big 3, including Biden. And it’s not as close as Democrats would hope.
In fact, if these statistics are accurate, it seems like the GOP’s ultimate lightning rod is poised to defeat just about any leftist leader. This includes names like Vice President Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton.

Donald Trump leads President Joe Biden by three points in a potential 2024 matchup, a Thursday McLaughlin & Associates poll revealed.
The poll showed Trump with 49 percent of the vote, compared to Biden’s 46 percent, a three-point difference.
Trump also outpolled Kamala Harris by eight points (50-42 percent) and Hillary Clinton by ten (51-41 percent) in a hypothetical 2024 general election.
That’s a 10-point lead over Clinton, who Trump beat in the 2016 election. Rumors swirl that Hillary might run again, though she has said several times she doesn’t plan on it.
As for VP Harris, her approval ratings are even lower than Biden’s in some cases, so it’s no surprise to see her trailing Trump in a potential race.
We’ve also heard rumblings that Democrat leaders in Washington aren’t particularly happy with the Vice President right now, and the whispers say she likely wouldn’t land the nomination for their party.
Right now, Biden is Trump’s stiffest competition — but even there, Trump’s lead of 4 points is statistically significant.

Other numbers of note: the poll showed that 68 percent of Republican primary voters said they wanted Trump to run again. Only 20 percent didn’t like the idea of a reelection campaign.
And in regards to other possible GOP candidates, it’s no contest right now.
As we’ve seen in past polling, Trump is head-and-shoulders over the Republican competition. For instance, he leads Florida Governor Ron DeSantis by a whopping 40%, and that’s Donald’s closest competitor.
Most statistics show that many voters are experiencing “buyer’s remorse” in regards to President Biden.
Polling suggests that in districts where Biden only won by a small margin in the 2020 election, those districts are now shifting red. And he’d even lose a few of the states he won back then, too.
Despite the left roundly despising Trump, RealClearPolitics shows that Trump’s favorability rating is actually higher than Biden or, in fact, any major politico.
To date, Trump has not officially confirmed that he’s running again in 2024. However, he has hinted at the possibility more than once, and many believe he’s working on a new campaign right now.
