Virginia Governor Sent Spinning Over Storm Response – Northam Blames Drivers And Some Liberals Blame Youngkin

If you’ve been following Winter weather news, you probably know about the heavy storm that struck Virginia. The snowfall was so bad, thousands of drivers were reportedly stranded on the Interstate. Some of them were stuck in their cars for more than 24 hours, as crews struggled to clear the roads.

Naturally, people want answers. They blamed outgoing Gov. Ralph Northam. The Democrat has an already tarnished reputation among Virginia residents, a part of the reason they elected a Republican to replace him. The best excuse he could come up with for the disaster? Drivers, duh!

From Fox News:

Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam, D., took heat Wednesday after blaming thousands of drivers for being on the road only to be left stranded on Interstate 95 due to heavy snowfall that crippled snow removal crews.

“We gave warnings, and people need to pay attention to these warnings, and the less people that are on the highways when these storms hit, the better,” Northam told The Washington Post.

Yep, that’s the best he could do. It’s not the fault of his team—who failed to clear the roads. No, it’s the fault of those idiots who had to drive to and from work! But some liberals managed to top Northam, by blaming the man who hasn’t even entered office yet.

From New York Post:

“Looks Youngkin failed his first test in Va, with traffic stopped for 10-12 hrs on 95 in Virginia. Failure for gov,” wrote one user, who described themselves as a “liberal transplant in NC.” […]

The errors were immediately noticed by other social media users, who were quick to point out that Northam was still in charge.

“Glenn Youngkin is inaugurated on Jan. 15…” Fox News contributor Joe Concha responded to one tweet.

Wow. You know, it doesn’t help your side’s cause—when you don’t even know how elections work! Liberals were quick to slam Governor-Elect Glenn Youngkin over the crippling snowfall that struck Virginia. Except, Northam isn’t even in office yet. He won’t become governor until January 15th.

How dumb are liberals? Do they not know that a person doesn’t instantly enter office after winning an election? Democrat Ralph Northam has remained governor until the end of his term, which won’t come until the middle of this month. It’s pretty odd that they missed that little detail, in their mad dash to attack a Republican.

Are these people going to correct their errors and blame Northam for the problem? Probably not. As we speak, they are probably jumping on his own excuse, that it was the drivers’ fault for being out on the roads. Why on earth would a governor attack his own people—instead of owning up to his failure?

Yeah, the storm was bad. Of course, there were going to be road closures. Why couldn’t Northam just suck it up and get to work?
