House Speaker Nancy Pelosi continues to support Rita Hart’s effort to overturn the Iowa election where she lost to Republicans Rep. Marianette Miller-Meeks by 6 votes.
Marianette Miller-Meeks was both certified the winner and is already seated in the House.
Last Thursday, Pelosi claimed it would have been her “right, as Speaker” to have not seated Iowa House election winner, Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks despite her certified win by six votes over Democrat Rita Hart.
“If I wanted to be unfair, I wouldn’t have seated the Republican from Iowa, because that was my right on the opening day. I would have just said, ‘You’re not seated,’ and that would have been my right, as Speaker, to do,” Pelosi claimed.
